The Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzKpfw IV), frequently known as the Panzer IV, was a German medium tank developed in the late 1930s and utilized extensively throughout the 2nd World War. Its ordnance stock classification was Sd.Kfz. 161. The Panzer IV was the most extensively manufactured German tank of the Second World War, with some 8,500 constructed. The Panzer IV was utilized as the base for numerous other battling lorries, including the SturmgeschŸtz IV attack weapon, Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer, the Wirbelwind self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, and the BrummbŠr self-propelled gun.
